I worked with Mary-Ellen many many years. Mary-Ellen worked with Marvin Shore, Trustee in Bankruptcy and I got to know her because I work in the bankruptcy field as well. Mary-Ellen was a hard-working, professional, kind woman. I have not seen her since she retired, many years ago, but I’m grateful to have the opportunity to express my condolences to her family.
I worked with Miss Pimblett during the 1980’s in the insolvency business. She always insisted upon calling me Mr. Everett in a formal way. Mary-Ellen was in the right kind of business for her personality. She was very tough on the exterior but I knew she had a soft heart for the unfortunate folks who happened to use the services of the trustee in bankruptcy firm where Mary-Ellen worked. I recall Mary-Ellen had been involved in the armed forces and am surprised there was no mention of this as part of her career in the obituary. I truly enjoyed working with her over the years and on occasion we would wager a bottle of wine over some issue. I don’t recall winning as often as losing to her. There are others in my office who used to work along side Mary-Ellen and I will pass the sad news on to them.
I had the honour of working with Mary-Ellen in the late 1980s and early 1990s at Shore Willinson. She was a wonderful lady who had a strong will but soft heart. I recall with much fondness my time working with her. She truly touched many lives, and will be missed.
