Peacefully at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, St. Thomas on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, Douglas Earl White in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Maureen Agnes (Province) White.
Dear father of Pat Leach of London, Cheryl Cody and her husband Jim of St. Thomas, Dianne Dow of Leduc, AB. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Karen George and her husband Everett of Grande Prairie, AB, Ben Cody and his wife Bernice of London, James Cody of London, Debbie Lyon and her husband Greg of Winnipeg, MB, Doug Dow of Leduc, AB, Trish Charette and her husband Terry of Calgary, AB. Also missed by his 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Survived by his younger sister Dorothy Park of Elliott Lake, ON sister-in-laws Pat Gardner of Bracebridge, ON Aileen White of Perth,ON and Katie White of Trenton, ON. Predeceased by his siblings Fern McCoy, Bob White, Eleanor Drake and Jim White. Friends will be received by the family at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, 1 hour prior (2-3pm) to the funeral service, on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 3:00 pm with Reverend T. Keith Nethery officiating. Cremation to take place following the service at Woodland Crematorium, London.
