Peacefully with family by her side at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital, on Friday, January 9, 2009 E. Ruby (Catt) Hamilton in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Lawrence “Ted” Hamilton. Loving mother of Mary Lynn Huber and husband Jack and David John Hamilton. Survived by her sister-in-law Melba Hamilton-Cornfoot and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by her brother Reginald Catt and her sister Isla Snell. A special thank you to the nursing staff on the 4th floor of University Hospital for their care and compassion during Ruby’s final days. Also thank you to the Para Med Caregivers who provided Ruby with assistance prior to hospitalization. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday, January 15th at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ian Elliott officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association 442 Adelaide Street, London, ON N6B 3H8 or to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (London Chapter) 600-60 St Clair Avenue East, Toronto, ON M4T 1N5. I am sorry to hear of Mrs Hamiltons passing although I did not know her well but her daughter is a wonderful friend of my family.
I cannot remember Aunt Ruby without a smile on her face.
Christmas in Byron was always a special time. I know Uncle Ted has been patiently waiting for her and I am happy they are together again.
Mary and Dave know that I am with you both and mom is at peace now
