I’m so sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. Her face looks familiar to me, even though it’s been about 50 years since I last saw her. I used to live on Algonquin, down the street from you, and remember you well, Susan; not so much your siblings. But I extend my sympathies to all of you. I didn’t know that your father had also died; it’s not easy to lose one parent, let alone two, although they both had good long lives. It’s wonderful to see that they were together for 65 years! My mother died too young (68), in 1990, but Dad’s still very well and active and living on a lake near Ste Agathe, where we always disappeared to during the summers. I moved just up the road from him at the end of 1999. I’ll be thinking about you all during this difficult time, and sending you my best wishes. Love to you all, Francie

Dear Judy, Susan, and Chuck,
I hope I’m not too late in sending this, but we just received Susan’s note a couple of days ago.
When I became rector of St Peter’s Church, TMR, I quickly discovered a couple whose strength, wisdom and support I came to value immeasurably. Kay and Herb were pillars of the church in the very best sense, and a young clergy couple such as ourselves needed all the help we could get. So our memories of them are entirely positive and warm.
Now that they are both gone, I’m sure there remains a great hole in your family life as well as in your hearts. Carmen and I join in extending our condolences to each of you and your families at this time of Kay’s passing.
We were fortunate to have been able to visit your mother after your father died and before she moved from her home in London; as you perhaps know one of our daughters and her family live just a block away on Hunt Club Drive.
We trust that God’s mercy and love will sustain you as it undoubtedly has reclaimed and now sustains Kay and Herb.
When you order funeral flowers from Burke Flowers, our skilled and compassionate florist will work directly with the funeral home to ensure that your delivery is timely and accurate. Same-day delivery is often available, please call (519) 672-8190 || (800) 303-7413 for a more customized experience.
With our great sympathies to you Susan and all your family. We offer prayers for your comfort and peace as you mourn the loss of your Mom. May your memories of her bring you much joy.
