Trust that God is with you in your hearts and prayers at this time of your loss.
It was a personal honour to present Bob with his 60 Year pin at our meeting in September 2008. I found him to be a most interesting and exciting brother. I enjoyed our conversations before and after Lodge very much.
If we can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me directly at 519-681-2275.
Once again, let me extend our condolences to your family at this time.

St. John’s Lodge No. 20
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Roddy and family during this difficult time.
There are many people that we meet in our lives but only a few will make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts. Bob was one of those people and I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet him. He certainly could make me smile and laugh. My sympathies to Marjorie and family.
Our deepest sympathies to Marjorie and family. Bob was a wonderful comrad and friend. We will miss him as a fellow Ham, Lodge, Shriner and Scooter Unit member. We will also miss his great sense of humor we’ve all come to love. God Bless.
Goodbye Bob. It was wonderful to find you, eventually. We knew each other just a short while, but meeting you, my brother, was one of the most memorable and happy moments of my life. I am so glad we got to know each other and I will remember the many happy times we had during our visit to Canada and your visit to UK and France. Having you and Marj and your children as part of our family has been very special to me and Pat and all our children. With much love, Your brother Roy. xx
Dearest Uncle Bob. You are the first and last uncle I had! And it was fun. I am so glad I met you and all my aunts and cousins, too. We will all remember you with affection. With much love from Jill, Roger, Joseph, Steph and Baby Sam. xxx
With love and sympathy to Marj and the 4Rs and families. We know how sad you must be feeling and we share in your loss. Thinking of you. With much love from Roy, Pat, Jill, John, Nicholas, Roger, Rachel, Joseph, Steph, Sam, Sam, Claire and Helen. xxxx

Hello , although it has been far too long since we last spoke to each other please accept my heartfelt condolences on Bob`s passing , He is a treasure to be sorely missed. Take care and God bless you all Brad Dorland
“Bob’s Your Uncle”
a catch phrase dating back to 1887…
Meaning:
*Your all Set
*you’ve got it made
*no problem
*This expression is used to show how simple it is to do something
And for me Bob is my Uncle and loving him was easy! Uncle Bob and Aunt Marj were a constant influence during my youth , always there to help celebrate special occasions and accomplishments.
Uncle Bob’s sense of hunour and kidding ways always made me feel special , as he took the time to pay attention
It was later in life, I most appreciate!
Uncle Bob and Aunt Marj did a cross country tour. I was blessed to have them hang out with me. Circumstances as they were, when they arrived I was convalescing after surgery. Typically this would have been a stressful time to have house guest. But in true Bob form he entertained me! An explorer in his heart he mastered mass transit and encouraged me ( a residendent of Edmonton for over 20 years ) to visit the jewels he found in the city.
I will miss Uncle Bob and feel blessed he was in my life
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Bob was so young at heart, always ready with a joke and a smile. I will miss him very much.
Marjorie and family — Our deepest sympathies at this most difficult time.
Bob was a true friend to my family, and my father Ross. It is rare and very special that a friendship endures for so long.
I will always remember Bob’s fantastic sense of humour, and the smile and laugh that lit up not only his face, but the whole room. And of course, we will all remember his resemblance to Johnny Carson — and his mastery of Johnny’s golf swing.
It was an honour and a pleasure to know Bob. The world has lost a treasure.
Pam Morton, and daughter Robyn

Love,

Good bye Uncle Bob. It took us a long time finding but I am very glad I did. It was great to get to know you and to learn about you and your life. I shall remember with great pride our first contact and gratitude. It says a lot about your bigness of heart that you took us so readily into your family. It is hard to think that that heart has now given out and you that you are not just ‘having us on’ as you did so often. Farewell.
Love from John, Rachel, Sam, Claire and Helen.
Rod, we were sorry to hear about your father’s death. We offer our condolences to you, your mother and the rest of your family.

To Marge & family
I was totally taken aback to hear of Bob’s passing. It was only last month we were sharing lunch with the IBM London retirees group and reminiscing about the good old days, and the many commuting trips we did together on Via Rail between London and Toronto.
I am very sorry that I will not be able to make it to the visitation or the funeral. Bob was a very good friend and I will miss him.
I hope you will receive strength knowing of my fond memories of Bob and the good times we shared.
Sincerely.

We will all miss Bob’s hilarious sense of humor and friendship. He blessed my mother’s (Eleanor Jackson)life with his recent enthusiasm in geneaological research and she wanted me to convey all her love and condolensences to Marg and family. (Eleanor is currently in the hospital recovering from a recent viral bout).
Our deepest sympathy.

Uncle Bob – it meant the world to us to be accepted into the Hill Clan. You truly were a special person. Although we only knew you a short time, we will miss you sadly with your beaming smile and jaunty quip.
Love Nick
It is with deep regret we hear the news of Bob’s passing. He has played a major role in the lives of our family. From his interest in Heathkit to his affair with the Troy police (long story!) we have many fond memories of his laughter, his smile and his spirit. Marge and family – we love you and hope the best to you all during this time of remembering.
Our deepest condolences to the extended Hill family. Our thoughts are with you all.
Bob was a great guy. He always had little one liners and he loved to pick on Jessie(put your shoes on Lucy), and she loved when he picked on her. He will be sadly missed when we are working outside.Bob would always come to check out what we were working on and stop to chat with us, either giving input in what we were doing or just chatting about whatever. I knew he belonged to the Shriners I just didn’t realize how long(60yrs), very committed! We would like to pass our condolences on to Marjorie and the family for the loss of their loved one.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Chip and family. I have great memories of your dad and his sense of humor. A little over a year ago I stopped in at the cottage to talk to your mom and dad and watched your dad joke with my kids the same way he joked with us – he hadn’t changed a bit.
God bless.
