JOHNSON……
Ronald “Ron” Johnson died peacefully on September 24, 2008 in St. Thomas hospital after a long battle with cancer. Ron is survived by his wife Nancy, his sons Trevor and Ron and their wives Karlene Kimber and Lisa King; his grandchildren Sydney, Kennedy, Book and Charlotte; his brother Leonard and his wife Helen and their children, as well as many other relatives. Ron is remembered as a fine father, a kind-hearted soul, and a funny, good-natured man. Ron attended South and Beal secondary schools followed by the Parson’s School of Art and Design in New York City. He had a long career with Jensen’s Furniture in London. He married Nancy Tait in 1965 and raised two sons to be caring and good-hearted chaps, just like him. A lover of music, an avid reader, a creative person, an antique aficionado, hockey fan, lover of red wine and coffee black with one sugar, Ron lived a full life, loved his family and left the world a better place. Ron Sr. will be well and truly missed. Friends will be received by the family from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Wesley Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2 pm with Reverend Thomas D. Hiscock Officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses. Online condolences accepted at www.amgfh.com

Dear Nancy, Trevor, Ron, and family,
It was with great sadness that we read about Ron’s passing. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his quick wit, and his great love for his sons. He was part of our family for many years and our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.
Sincerely,
