Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Monday, August 11, 2008, John Donald West of London, in his 78th year. Beloved brother of Lois Gauld (James) and Lorna West all of London. Dear uncle of James Gauld (Lori) and Robert Gauld, great uncle of Jamie and Geoffrey Gauld. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Mabel (Winter) West. John was retired from the Canadian Custom and Excise. He served in several cities in Southern Ontario primarily in Fort Erie. At John’s request there was no visitation. A private family graveside service was held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program, 747 Baseline Road East, London ON N6C 2R6. (A.     Dear Lorna, Lois and family. I am saddened to read of John’s passing. Although I didn’t know John well, whenever we met he was always so nice. I know you and the family will miss him greatly.
