We were shocked to hear today of Linda’s death. Our backyard is directly behind Linda’s. I had been putting clothes on the line yesterday and hear new voices in her yard. Over the years we carried on many conversations, exhanged tomatoes, gardening discussions, discussed our dogs, etc Linda was always kind caring and interested in carrying on a backyard conversations. We exchanged christmas gifts as well. It is unfortunate that we are leaving this evening on a planned trip and will not be able to visit tommorrow. Linda will be remembered and thought of with kind thoughts.
Bill, how strange life is. Margie Miners and I had just met for lunch on July 24th and were talking about you and Linda. I pass her house often as my daughter lives on Ridout at Baker. Hope your family and career have been great and my sympathy to you now.
Bill
We were so sad to hear the passing of your Sister. Although we lived next to your Mom for several years I don’t know if you were aware that we also knew Linda also. We appreciated her quirky yet strong willed spirit. Linda was the first to welcome us to the neigbourhood and always had treats tucked up inside her sleeve for Frankie, her unofficial third schauzer. We often chatted as the dogs visited on morning walks. When Elsie was born in Febuary a packages was left on our car with gifts for both Eva and Elsie. She had made a quilt of ducks for Eva an avid duck lover a remembered detail from a morning chat. It sits on the end of her bed. For Elsie two smaller blankets with Dogs, all made by hand. Life gets busy and this summer is no exception. We were sorry to hear of her passing. The neighbourhood will be far less colourful as a result of her absence. She will be missed.
