MOORE: Alma (June 8, 1915 – April 8, 2008)
Peacefully at Meadow Park Nursing Home, London, Ontario on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, Mary Alexandra “Alma” (Bell) Moore of London in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband William C. Moore and her son Peter Charles. She was the most loving and giving person – always thinking of others before herself. She had a beautiful twinkle in her eye and the most infectious giggle. As the new women in her only son’s life, I was quite nervous in meeting her for the first time, but after a few seconds she made me feel so welcomed and loved, you couldn’t help but love her back. She had this effect on every one she knew, from her friends to where she lived to those in her parsh of Wellington Street United Church. She also worked as a ward clerk at Victoria Hospital for many years, and I know that with her loving and caring ways, she was where she was supposed to be. Alma was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews (Sharon, Ross, Marlene, and others I am sure I have forgotten to mention, but know that she loved you all) and their children who I know will miss her terribly. In her sweet way she was “Aunt Alma” to everyone she met and embraced them all in her circle of love, affection and laughter. She also loved to spend time with her dear friend Jeanne and her daughter Sandra and husband John and her son Randy and his wife Mariann at the cottage in Grand Bend. Oh the fun times we had over the years! Memories I will always cherish.. Much love and appreciation go out to Judy who has always been there for me to assist with Alma’s care when I couldn’t be in London. Judy and her husband Tom ( who has been waiting in the wings with Alma’s son to welcome her home to be with God), will always hold a special place in my heart. The world has lost a true angel. Rest well Alma, soar through the skies and sparkle brightly like the stars above. I knew the best mother-in-law there was! You were truly one of a kind and I thank God you sent me your beautiful son to be my husband for 17 years. I will miss you both always.

We meet A lma in the 80’s at Parkwood hospital she volunteered in the day hospital we had an immediate connection to each other…We were both red heads…She was always eager to chat and tell you some of her hobbies and interests.we keep in contact long after my rehabilitation at Parkwood
When each spirit is renewed
And it is in this calm fifth season
In this hopeful second spring
A time of cleansing and rebirth
A time of new awakening
Each person’s life will come full circle
Even as the seasons do
To start another, different life
Much better then the one we knew. Heaven has gained one very SPECIAL person and we here are the ones at loss. Our prayers and thoughts go out to all Alma’s family and friends.
