To the Shanahan Family:
I am so sorry to hear of John’s death. He was a wonderful neighbour. He always had time to talk to me and introduce me to his children. John always spoke so highly of his family.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with the Shanahan family.

I was privileged to share a room with John at London Health Sciences (University Hospital). We exchanged war time stories together, and later spent time with him at Maple Village Retirement Home. Deepest sympathy to the Shanahan family.

to the Shanahan family…..we send our condolences to your family. i so wish we all could have been in contact with each other,i remember a little about john when i was a youngster, when he came to visit my dad & mom ,witt and hazle shanahan at the farn home.
I will miss bringing him his coffee in the morning at the hospital. He always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to have as a patient.
But I know he is not in pain now and is at peace. My thoughts are with you at this time and in the future. Everytime I go to Bayfield I will think of all of you. It was an honour to get to know your family as well as your father. May you find comfort in remembering all the good times you had and enjoyed with John. God Bless
