Bob, sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
Sue, Robb, Debbie and family,
Beth and I wish to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Bob was a friend since 1966 when I was posted to the MP Section of 1 RCR. After Bob joined LPD his return visits to base, encouraging me to apply, resulted in my also joining LPD. I was fortunate to work with Bob on many occasions both on the street and in CID and had great respect for his work and people skills. I reminded Bob on many occasions that I would not have enjoyed my LPD career were it not for his encouraging me to apply but he always shrugged off my thanks with his smile and the usual “I thought you’d like it”.
Robb I’m sorry Beth and I couldn’t make it to express the above thoughts in person but unfortunately my mother colasped and was rushed to Stratford hospital last night and we’ve been busy arranging for her care.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
