Obituary

HENDERSON:
With great joy, Madeleine May (McConnell) Henderson joined her late husbands, Norman “Bill” Henderson and Douglas Lang on February 28, 2008. She is now in the arms of her Lord and beloved Bill and Doug. A wish she has been waiting for while being cared for by the compassionate professional staff of Omni Country Terrace Home in Komoka. Madeleine is survived by her niece Wende (Randy) Wagar of Napanee, her foster son Tom (Diane) Pinkerton of Chatham, her nieces, nephews and friends in Halifax, London and Sarnia. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where a service to celebrate Madeleine’s life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery, London.     We have so many fond memories of living next door to Madeleine and Bill. Madeleine was unfailingly kind, generous, and welcoming to our family. We rejoice that she and Bill are together again in heaven.

    To Madeleine’s immediate family and relatives:
    You are in our thoughts and in our prayers.

    Madeleine was our neighbour for 19 years when we lived at 1209 St Anthony Road. We enjoyed quiet evenings sipping tea and eating cookies with both Bill and Madeleine as well as we enjoyed their front flower garden .
