I was shocked to hear the news of her demise after looking at the Western Web page. When I first came to Western in 1999, Sharon was our secretary at Elborn College. She was always cheerful in helping new faculty. It is so sad to hear this news.

I am so very sorry to hear of Sharon’s death; she will be missed sorely here at Western. I was fortunate enough to work for a little while with Sharon in ECE in 2007 and we soon discovered we had a lot in common, in particular Cairn Terriers. In fact, I once ran into Sharon walking your dogs and I had mine with me in the car, so I stopped and the dogs got to meet, and we had a great laugh at all the dogs. I will miss her mischievous smile and that impish look in her eyes, promising a story that would make us all laugh until the tears rolled. A bright light has left this world, but not in our hearts, where she will always be alight.

I was saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing.
She and I are actually cousins, and I most sincerely had thought about connecting with her over the past few months.
I guess this validates the idea that as we grow older, we think back to our childhood links and the people we knew in common.( It is also probably a commentary on my tendency to procrastinate,but regardless of that, I do wish I had.)
My Grandfather, George Hall, was Maude’s, (Sharon’s Grandmother) brother. They were both very fine people and Sharon and I were lucky to have grown up in close proximity to them.
I knew Ruth and Jack less well, but remember that they would talk about how artistic Sharon was, and because I loved to draw as well, they were certain we must share familial connections to, at least, Rembrandt!
When my son married Emily (Jansenberger, and became familiar with the London South neighbourhood, he urged me to get in touch with Sharon, and told me how much he liked you both.
Bevan, I do know what it’s like to have to adjust to a loss of this proportion as I lost my husband several years ago. There are just so many memories, when you’ve shared a lifetime with someone.
I know you will find your way through, tho’and perhaps your sadness will propel you to new creative heights in Sharon’s honour.
I’m sorry I also missed the opportunity to attend the service and talk with you all.

I was saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing.
She and I are actually cousins, and I most sincerely had thought about connecting with her over the past few months.
I guess this validates the idea that as we grow older, we think back to our childhood links and the people we knew in common.( It is also probably a commentary on my tendency to procrastinate,but regardless of that, I do wish I had.)
My Grandfather, George Hall, was Maude’s, (Sharon’s Grandmother) brother. They were both very fine people and Sharon and I were lucky to have grown up in close proximity to them.
I knew Ruth and Jack less well, but remember that they would talk about how artistic Sharon was, and because I loved to draw as well, they were certain we must share familial connections to, at least, Rembrandt!
When my son married Emily (Jansenberger, and became familiar with the London South neighbourhood, he urged me to get in touch with Sharon, and told me how much he liked you both.
Bevan, I do know what it’s like to have to adjust to a loss of this proportion as I lost my husband several years ago. There are just so many memories, when you’ve shared a lifetime with someone.
I know you will find your way through, tho’and perhaps your sadness will propel you to new creative heights in Sharon’s honour.
I’m sorry I also missed the opportunity to attend the service and talk with you all.

We missed a great person… But we all will remember your cheerful personality and incredible work to make our Department pleasant place to work. We would missed discussing dogs, food, concerts, weather and many many other things. Our condolences to the family.
My deepest sympathies. I met Sharon through working at the Faculty of Engineering. Whenever I saw her, she was always a pleasure to talk with because of her cheerfulness.
I always enjoyed joking and laughing with her.
She will be missed greatly.
I am deeply saddened by Sharon’s death. She was a wonderful and great person. Sharon will remain in my memory all my life. My heart goes out to her family and I wish to express my deep condolences to her family. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
