I worked the night shift at MeadowPark, and I just loved Dorthy. I called her my ‘little grannie’ and she always made me smile. She was such a blessing to know. Very soft, gentle and loving. Rest in peace my sweet friend. See you in Heaven!!

I was very sad to learn of the passing of your mother. I remember from childhood what a delight it was to have your parents visit our family in Strathroy.Dorthy was fun loving whose infectious smile and friendley manner made it a pleasure to be in her company. She was a fine lady and will be missed. Ruth and I extend our sincere condolences.

Sharon….
I wish to offer my condolences to you in the passing of your mother. I worked nights at Meadow Park and spent quite a bit of time talking to your mom. I am happy for her now that she is in a better place – I know that she hasn’t enjoyed life very much in the past six months.
I always enjoyed talking to your mom and listening to how full her life had been in the past. It was nice to see a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye when she spoke of you and Owen – it took her mind off her troubles for a little while. A couple months ago, she very seriously told me that she felt she was dying — she asked me to tell you how much she loved your dad and you. She said that you were the best daughter a mother could ever ask for and that she could still picture you as a tiny little girl in her arms. I hope that she told you that herself many times and that you carry fond memories of your mom.
We both had a good cry that night – and I told her the day before she passed that I wouldn’t forget to let you know how much she cared for you.
I am going to miss your mom – and I am thankful that I had the opportunity of meeting her.
