At Victoria Hospital, London on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Donna May (Morenz) Moody of London in her 67th year. Beloved wife of William E. Moody. Dear mother of Jason Moody and his wife Sherri of London. Dear daughter of Ordelia Morenz and the late Norman Morenz. Dear sister of Brenda J. King of Smith Falls. Also loved by her grandchildren Kiera and Robee. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Thursday, October 30th at 1:00 p.m. with cremation following at Woodland Crematorium. Just a small note to say how very sorry we all are to hear about Donna May. We so enjoyed her smile and laugh on our trips to Skeleton Lake. Mike will also miss having her as her badminton partner, he was very sad to hear of her passing. To all of you our prayers and thoughts are will all of you at this very sad time. The family of cottagers in the old “Teacher’s Bay” in Muskoka will all feel the loss of Donna May. Small personal memories come back so easily, assuring us that Donna May will live in our hearts with the greater family of loved ones with whom we shared our summers in the North, but who have now passed on.

I was shocked to see Donna’s name in the paper. My condolences goes out to you both and your family. The last year I bowled, Donna was on my team and I will always remember her smile and always cheering us on. We took first place that year. In Feb I lost my sister Lou who had suffered 2 years with cancer. I know exactly how your family is feeling. I will say a prayer for Donna tonight and while I am talking to Lou in my prayers I will tell her to look for Donna.

Dear Bill,Jason, Brenda and Aunt Ordelia:
We were saddened to hear of Donna-May’s passing. It was a shock to know that God has taken her from us at such a young age. Although we have not kept in touch over the past years, I was very pleased when I reconnnected with Donna-May a couple years ago during Aunt Ordelia’s move. Donna-May had an infectious laugh that will never be forgotten and I treasure the childhood memories of our family visits…making and eating popcorn in the kitchen on Rectory St.
I hope that Donna-May did not suffer and that you find peace in knowing that she was a special person that leaves behind nothing but good memories.
