who would ever think, Aunt Penny ate all the right foods, didn’t smoke, the occasional social drink, and this terrible disease that they call cancer takes control of our body in many different ways leaving the soul and spirit to move on to the never ending life and if you believe that this short time on earth is that of a stepping stone in learning and that we shall all meet again. Bye for now.

We were so sorry to hear the news that Penny has passed away. It was always nice to see her when visiting you in London, and even nicer to meet up down here in Florida. She really will be missed. Big hugs to all of you in this difficult time,

We were sorry to hear of Penny’s death. She was a lovely lady and it was nice to have known her
Dear Jim, Jeff, Judy and Jonathan. It is with the heaviest of hearts that I should write to express the loss of our friend Penny. She was a wonderful, kind, gentle and dignified lady. She was a mentor to her girlfriends who dearly miss her. Penny had a lot of friends in the Forest City Program who worked along side her over the years. The staff and students will deeply feel the loss and absence of this lovely soul. She was able to have a nice gathering of some of her “Steel Magnolia” friends just before Christmas. She wanted the evening to be similar to what it had been many times before. Over the decades of our friendship Penny was always the “camera girl”. She didn’t fail us that evening. It was my pleasure to attend and share some laughs and stories. Both Dennis and I will sincerely miss her.
Penny will be missed terribly. Kind, loving, thoughtful, understanding compassionate, and extremely generous. If you look up these words in a dictionary you will probably see Penny’s name there. She was always there for everyone even as sick as Penny became she took time to have a get together on my birthday in Decenber and this is a memory that will live on and many others with Penny. She was a fantastic friend and I will miss our Angelos trips for long talks and many laughs. Penny loved life to the fullest and it is something I hope I can model my life with. All I can say is there is a very special angel in heaven and she is probably doing a kind deed for someone in need as I write this. I know Penny will live on in my heart and she will continue to watch over her friends.
Penny, rest in peace with no more pain and suffering.
May Jim, Jeff, Judy and her precious family find comfort in their hearts knowing you are their angel now, watching over them to protect and share every precious moment from above.
To Jim, Judy and the rest of the family – so sorry to hear your sad news. We will always have fond memories of Penny when she came to visit Bermuda.
Take care.
Elaine & Dave
It was with great sadness that we learned of Pennys death. In all her visits to Bermuda we found Penny to be a true lady with a great sense of humour who loved to be out and about with Jim. I took particular pleasure in her and Jim always reminding me about my football!! May she fly with angels and rest in peace.
What is it that we remember when we think of Penny? I think everyone who knows her very well would agree with me on this. She had a smile that would lighten a room, she never forgot your birthday, she loved working with children especially the Forest City students, she was a proud mom and grandmother. Penny was generous, kind and loving. She was special!
Penny lived her life wonderfully. She was well-loved and she had done so many things on earth. I am sure she’ll do much more in heaven.
Penny brought so many gifts to our life, we will never forget her.
I will forever be grateful to have known Penny. All the memories I shared with her will forever be cherished and remembered.
Penny will forever live in my heart.

We were so sad to learn of Penny’s passing, and are so sorry for your great loss. She was quite simply, a wonderful person!
It was always enjoyable when Penny and Jim would come to Bermuda for a visit. You were assured of bone-crushing hugs from them upon arrival! With Penny’s visits you always felt a little less far from home and when you were with her, you felt like a bit of your mom was visiting too.
We shall remember her great laugh…and that smile!
I think Penny had a bit of an adventurous spirit in her, travelling great distances to see Judy and Jon in Bermuda and South Africa. Nothing says adventure quite like getting on the back of a scooter with Judy driving! I recall one visit to Bermuda that sent Penny home with quite a nasty reminder on her leg of a daring scooter ride with Judy. Despite the pain from that incident, she kept smiling and maybe deep down she was a little excited to proudly show her friends back home her ‘war wounds” from her adventure.
We shall miss those visits.
Jim, we think of you often and hope that you (and Jeff) will continue the Bermuda visits and will come again soon.
We have bone-crushing hugs for you when you do.
Keep your stick on the ice.
Love Heather and Nick
Jim, Judy, Jeff, Jon and Zach

We are sorry for your loss of a wonderful teacher, neighbour and family friend. My brothers and sisters will always have good memories of Penny. Christopher always took comfort that one of his teachers was Grandma and Granddad’s neighbour. Take care.
