Pastor Robinson has been a intrical part of our family’s life. Baptisms, Dad’s illness, Mom’s death, friend to my Dad. He was always there… with a caring and gentle heart. He indead is a man of God.
Our condolences and prayers are with Ethel and his family at this time. They and we know that our pain and sorrow is attached to earth. Pastor Robinson’s faith and believe and made a place at his savior’s feet, with no more pain, no more tears, and a smile and glow only from his Lord. As Pastor stand in front of the Lord… Jesus says ‘Well done my good and fateful servent… and welcome home!’

Dear Robinson Family,
I did not have the honour of knowing Rev. Robinson. However, on behalf of the Fellowship, please allow me to express our sincere sympathy and appreciation for his faithful years of pastoral ministry. May the Lord give you all the grace and strength you need during this difficult time.
John Kaiser, President

I learned a lot from Pastor Robinson. Sitting in the pew at Central and spending time with him in his office. A man who put his faith into action and in the early days gave London Baptist Bible College a place to call home. May God richly bless you as a family.
Your Servant,
Rev. Dale Renout
What a wonderful friend. Heaven is richer and I will miss that mega-watt smile! Ethel, we will be praying for you.

When Rod was a young boy of seven years, a kind, young pastor came to the house and collected him and his brothers to take them to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Twenty years later, Rod returned to Central Baptist Church to find Pastor Robinson preaching on “The Doctrine of Sin”. It is because of his faithful commitment to God’s Word that we became true believers in Christ. Pastor Robinson was a wonderful influence in our lives. His sermons always directed us to the Lord and his commitment to discipleship programs helped us grow as vulnerable young Christians. The most memorable thing about him, though, was his care for his congregation. We felt the warmth of his concern for us. How thankful we are that one day we will see him again. We hope that your family can sense the appreciation and love that we feel and we join you in grieving for the loss of our favourite pastor.
Dear Ethel & Family;
On behalf of Debbie and I we send you are deepest condolences. Pastor Bob was very instrumental in my life for the time you spent with us as interm pastor in Hamilton. He advised me to go to Bible College and to pursue being a pastor in full time ministry. I have always looked upon Bob as a mentor and a very wise leader. He will be missed!! Our prayers will be with you and your family through this difficult time. I will never forget how God used him to encourage my ministry.
All our love;
Vic & Debbie Gayed
We are sad to hear of Pastor Bob’s passing. His amazing legacy continues. Both of us are grateful for the wonderful journey we experienced with both of you at Elliott Heights in Hamilton. From officiating our marriage, for the years of being partners in ministry, to sharing a friendship, we consider ourselves fortunate to have been positively influenced by both of you.
With sympathy and love,
Len, Rebecca, Fynn and Winona Cuthbert
Ethel, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow.
Bob’s life was a picture to all who knew him, of a life well lived.
A fond first recollection of Bob was seeing him walk past our house on Jones road in Fruitland (in the the late 1940s) on his way to court his special girl at the Hurst house 3 doors down the road. He was an imposing figure of a young man even then.
May God grant His Peace to your heart knowing that he is now with our Saviour!
In Christ’s love, Rowland and Madeline Cuthbert.
Dear Mrs. Robinson & family,
It’s hard to believe that forty years ago in August, Pastor Robinson married us. How time flies. We have many fond memories of working with both of you at First Baptist Church. Pastor Robinson was so influential in my life (Mary) throughout my teen years, and in the early part of our marriage. We thank God for men like him! We will be thinking of you in the days to come. May you sense God’s perfect peace during this time of loss.
Love, Steve & Mary

Viv and I owe a deep debt of gratitude to Pastor Robinson for helping us tool-up for our ministry in missions. He was a visionary; shepherding, teaching and giving us experience in the many facets of ministry. Not many pastors would invest that deeply in the lives of others. We will always be thankful that he took us “Americans” under his wing. We even learned about Chesterfields and Serviettes! Our future work in Grenada and Barbados in church planting and theological education bore the imprint of his investment.
We are saddened at the physical passing of a mentor and friend and want to express our condolences to the family. We are heartened, however, by the reality of the joy Pastor Robinson is experiencing at this very moment in the presence of the Savior he so faithfully loved and served.

I just want you all to know that despite the fact that nearly 40 years have passed since I spent time with Pastor Robinson, I have never forgotten him and his impact on my life when I was in my formative years. I can remember him teaching me how to swim at Camp Kakeka back in the late 1960’s and how he took the grade 6 boys into the “steeple” at First Baptist for a special series of Sunday School lessons where he asked us all if we trusted that he would give us a nickel that he offered (I did and carried that nickel around for a long time!). No matter how many ministers I became acquainted with in my life’s journey, I always measured them with the Pastor Robison yardstick.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Gram and Family,
Ivy and I would like so much to be able to be there with you all celebrating the life of a wonderful grandpa. Life has put us so far away physically, but we are there in spirit and we know that Pop is in a better place. We miss him lots and we will carry our memories of him with us forever. We will never forget the many card games and the tricks he always tried to pull. 2 2 2 2 2…wait that is not a pair! Oh, Pop! We will be thinking of you all tomorrow and sending our love all the way from Ecuador.
Te amamos Pop y siempre estarás con nosotros! Que Dios te bendiga.
Mateo e Ivy
Mrs Robinson and the extended Robinson family:
It is hard to remember a time when Pastor Robinson was not a part of my life. As a child I have memories of his involvement in a Junior Choir and Boys and Girls Club at Central. As a young person I was also influenced by his leadership and example as he poured his learning into young lives entrusted to his care.
It was my privilege to work under Pastor Robinson as church secretary at Central for almost 15 years. His compassion and caring for the members of ‘his flock’ was a wonderful example. Here are some memories that I will cherish: his amazing ability to remember names and match them with the right faces; after a rather thought provoking sermon his “take that home and think about it; but especially his love for the scriptures and the way he was able to quote so easily many of them as he preached.
You, as a family will miss him greatly but he has left many memories for you to remember and cherish in the days to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Family,
Grandview owes a great debt of gratitude to Pastor Robinson for his visionary leadership in church planting. We exist today in large measure as a thriving church because of his influence! May the God of Comfort remind you of this and the many other achievements that have earned him a “well done” on his welcome home.
Ian Campbell, Lead Pastor, Grandview Baptist Church
