CARROLL: Marion Catherine
Marion Carroll passed away peacefully in her one hundredth year, at Norview Lodge, Simcoe on April 8, 2009. Marion was predeceased by her husband Richard Gauld Carroll (1951) and her son-in-law Gary Sims (2002). Marion is survived by her daughters Patricia Sims (George Jacob) and Susan (Alf) McLellan, grandchildren, Scott (Cheryl) Sims, Adrienne Sims (Chuck Butchart), Dr. Nathan McLellan and Andrew McLellan. Marion is lovingly remembered by her family as a wonderful mother and as the consumate grandmother. Her spirit of courage and determination is a wonderful legacy left to all who have known her. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Chestnut Hill, Norview Lodge, who with their loving care made her final year most comfortable. Marion’s funeral service will be held in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 am with interment following in Woodland Cemetery, London.
