Dear Oakes Family:
Very saddened to hear of Joyce’s passing. In the 3+ years that my mother [Leona Labbe] resided at Kensington I was able to chat many times with Carl and Carla. I appreciated so much the clear evidence of faithfulness and committed love that you showed your wife and mother. Although I did not know Joyce in her former life I did observe that even though her body had been ravaged by a stroke she still had a glint in her eye. I am sure that the love of her husband and family kept her going, and though it would have been very difficult you exemplified love in its purest form.
Psalm 23 is always an encouraging passage to read and consider and trust it will be a source of comfort.
Sincerest condolences.
