STEEL: Olga
Peacefully, at home, surrounded by family, on Monday, September 21, 2009. Olga Maria (Zarewich) Steel of London in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas H. A. Steel. Dear mother of Geoffrey Steel and wife Isabell Koebel, Jonathan Steel and wife Elaine, Kathleen O’Connor and husband Patrick, Jennifer Bailey and her husband Douglas and Ann Michelle Teve. Predeceased by her brother Bill and sister Stella. Dear Nanny of, Connie, David and Laura, Anthony, Max, Kayley and Shayna. There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family mass will be celebrated at St. George Catholic Church (Byron) on Tuesday. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery, London. A reception to celebrate Olga’s life will be held at the A. Millard George Reception Centre, located on the south east corner of the parking lot at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, September 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of London, 837 Talbot Street, London, ON N6A 2V7 or the charity of choice. On line condolences accepted at www.amgfh.com

    So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, Kathleen! I remember her as a warm and friendly woman who always welcomed us into your home, made us feel relaxed and comfortable and expressed a genuine interest in all our dreams and plans. You’ll miss her terribly! May it comfort you to know that she is now in a better place.
