Will be loved & missed forever. Truly the greatest grandfather.
Papa, you will be missed. You’re in our hearts always and forever.
Thankyou for being my dad, a girl couldn’t have asked for a better father.I miss you so much dad and I know you are holding hands once again with mom.
Thankyou for being the world’s greatest father-in-law to Jeff too.
Love you and will miss you always.
Sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. We rejoice that he is re-united with Helen and the Lord he loved for many years. May God comfort you at this time. He was a very special person.
Many memories flood my mind as I think of Doug Phillips.
His generosity helped build Bethel Chapel, where our McLaren family attended in the 1940’s. He, along with his father, took me on a tour through Phillips Soap Factory, and explained the manufacturing process as we went. He also gav4 me a copy of Henry Drummond’s book “The Greatest Story Ever Told” — if I remember the title corredctly. This was the way he shared his Christian faith. He was a godly examople to me, a young medical student at UWO at that time. We love Doug and his wonderful family.

My condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father and grandfather. I got to know Doug while he was at Elmwood Place where my mother had been a resident. It was amazing that he remembered me after only a few times of talking about living in Old South. He always referred to me as Mary from McKenzie Ave. It was a pleasure to have known him and his kind ways. He shared with me his Ministry of sharing the Word via the Gideons. An amazing man. May the memories of him get you through this difficult time.
We were truly sorry to hear about Doug’s passing. He was a blessing to all who knew him. My Dad, Abraham Oudshoorn, passed away on October 28th but he use to go and visit Doug and read to him at the Elmwood Nursing home. Now they are with the Lord together visting again in perfect health. We pray the Lord will give Doug’s family peace and comfort.
