You couldn’t go to her house without coming away with some flowers or home raised honey. As you drove up the driveway, the dogs would greet you as well as Mrs.B coming out the side door. Food, especially sweets would soon be on the table, and a lively conversation would follow. The tea would be homemade, don’t think we ever saw a tea bag in her house. We will miss her but remember her always. We say goodbye for now…Love Len and Anita (nee Cirulis) Douglas
I’ve known Bauman Kundze my entire life; to me she was the grandmother I never had. Bauman Kundze was not one for innocuous conversations; she always spoke her mind and talked of what was important to her. She told stories about her homeland, her past and talked about the many dogs she had over the years. I’m going to miss seeing her seated in her chair at the kitchen table as soon as I’d walk through the door, and I’m going to miss our goodbyes. She would always tell me, “you are so nice”. To some that may not seem like a wonderful compliment, but coming from Bauman Kundze, it was the best. A piece of history is gone along with her. May you rest in peace Bauman Kundze and I hope Duke, Pixie, Nakt Nakt, Chippy and all of the other lovely dogs you’ve had over your long life are there to welcome you. You will be in my thoughts always and forever, with love from Kirstin.
Daffodils and tulips in the fall waiting to pop up in the spring. There they were buried in the earth needing to be tenderly dug out from their current home; replanted to a new healthy patch of earth. I was ecstatic to be with her on this crispy autumn day. Together we planted hundreds of the delicate bulbs. I always felt safe and respected by this incredible wise kind and independent woman. My moment of outstanding joy was when we stood together at the garden the following spring. Together we stood immersed with hundreds of vibrant colours gently swaying in the breeze. I was ten years old. BAUMANE kundze has had a place in my heart deeply planted since my youth. She will always remain alive with me as I search for tulips and daffodils each and every spring when the new life cycle begins. Love and safe passage on your journey. You are not alone. THANK YOU for you. Love Susie MILA BK
