At McGarrell Place, London on Thursday, December 9, 2010, Grace (Whitfield) Murphy in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late James Murphy (1996). Cherished mother of Herbert Murphy and his wife Judy of London and Richard Murphy of Brantford. Loving grandmother of Griff Murphy (Anne), Ellen Calder (Eric), Susan Murphy and Leanne, Jamie, Corey, and Teague Murphy and great-grandmother of Tye and Keegan Calder. Dear sister of Robert Whitfield of Georgia, Marion Murphy (Jim) and Don Whitfield (Margaret) all of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Jack, Herbert and Arthur Whitfield and by her sisters Jean, Muriel and Florence Whitfield and Elsie Moretti. A special thanks to the staff at McGarrell Place (Lawson Lane) for their excellent care. Friends will be received by the family 1 hour prior (10-11am) to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, with Major Jamie Braund officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London.
