At University Hospital, London on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Muriel Irene (Hern) Tookey of London, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late William John Tookey. Dear mother of Cheryl Irene Tookey-Zambon and her husband Roberto. Loving grandmother of Johnathan Roberto Zambon. Dear sister of, Barbara French and her husband Earl, Lorne Hern and his wife Margaret, Wayne Hern, Alan Hern and his wife marilyn, Sheila Miller and her husband Ernie, Tom Hern, Alma Ballantyne and her husband Ross, and Ron Hern and his wife Pat. Also loved by several nieces and nephews. Muriel was known for her gentle smile, love of baking, flowers, gardening, quilting and always looking after her family. Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Funeral service will be held at Colborne Street United Church, 711 Colborne Street, London on Friday, January 7th at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London.     It was quite a shock to hear of Muriel’s passing.
    She was blessed to have so many people love and support her and to see her grandson.
    Cheryl and Rob, my heart goes out to you.Living without your Mom is a hole that can never be filled but know that she will be in your hearts forever.

    Cheryl, I am so sorry to learn about the death of your Mom. She was such a special lady in your life and I have doubt you will miss her. My prayer is that the God of Comfort will deal graciously with you and Robert, as you deal with your Mom’s death.     Cheryl, I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. It was just a while ago I spoke to her and she was so excited in expecting her first grandchild. I’m glad she lived to experience “grandmother hood” — May she rest in peace.

    What a shock to read of your mom’s passing in the paper this a.m. There are no words that will take the pain of your sorrow away. But with the support of your family & friends and many treasured memories, we hope you find comfort to ease the sadness in your hearts. She was blessed to share in the joy of the birth of your precious little boy.
    ‘Death leaves a heartache no one can heal but love leaves memories no one can steal’.

You were lucky to have had a very close relationship with your Mom and shared many years together.You will have many memories to draw upon in the coming weeks, months and years.
