Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
I am greatly saddened to hear of Mr. Lamont’s passing. In 1969 I started working for Mr. Lamont & Mr. Perkins and did so for 8 years. One day Mr. Lamont asked if I wanted to go to an auction,38 years later and I am still in the antique business. He was a kind person. We always stayed in touch and had a visit in April. Rest in Peace.
Gene was a kind and gentle man who will be fondly remembered by his “cottage neighbours” in Grand Bend.
Eugene was a kind man with a keen wit. He was a living history of our community, and a good spirit. Eugene was the greatest treasure in his shop.
Gene was a very special, thoughtful and witty gentleman, which along with an infectious “Lamont” smile made him unforgetable. I only wish that a busy life had not gotten in the way of an earlier appreciation for Gene. We didn’t make contact until my own father, Jack, (Gene’s cousin) passed away that we arranged for a visit at the store. It was the first of several visits but regretably too few. I will cherish the conversations and time that we did have together. Our condolences to you all.
