MIEDEMA, Grace……Peacefully at Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, on Friday, June 8, 2012, Grace Miedema in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Freerk Miedema (1976). Loving mother of Sieta Tena Miedema of St. Thomas, Ontario. Dear sister-in-law of Betty Miedema of Aylmer, Ontario. Also missed by her nephews, Willem Looze of Zuid-Scharwoude, Netherlands, Pieter Looze of Leeuwarden, Netherlands and several other nieces and nephews in Canada and the Netherlands. Predeceased by her sister Tettie Looze of The Netherlands. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be held at Pilgrim Canadian Reformed Church of London, 266 High Street, London on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:30 am. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 150-633 Colborne Street, London, ON N6B 2V3 or to the Charity of your Choice.     So sad to hear about Aunt Grace. Losing a Mom is so hard and our hearts are with you Sieta at this difficult time. We wish you treasured memories. She will always be remembered.

    Hi Sieta, we give you our condolences in the passing away of your Mom. This picture is exactly the way I remember your Mom – she was always so sweet. Many times I would see her at my Mom’s apartment – it was nice. One time her hearing aid didn’t work at all and she just wondered around saying ‘I can’t hear you!!!!’but she would still talk to you. We’re happy she knew Jesus and can be in Paradise today. We pray the Lord will give you the peace and strength during these next days in all that needs to be done. We praise Jesus in all our situations. I’m sorry I can’t come to the funeral because I just had 2 teeth extracted and am not in any shape to go anywhere for a couple of days.
