At University Hospital, London on Friday, November 30, 2012 Nicholas R. Lafleur in his 22nd year. Beloved son of Allan and Paula Lafleur. Dear brother of Damien and Marshall Lafleur. Loved grandson of Gladys King. Predeceased by his grandfathers George Lafleur and Marshall King.
Friends will be received by the family on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the complete funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11:00 am with Reverend T. Keith Nethery officiating . Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 383 Richmond Street, Suite 915, London, ON N6A 3C4 would be appreciated. Please accept our condolences. We got to know Nick when he spent the summer here in Lake Louise, Alberta. He was a fine young man who was hard working, friendly and a talented musician. The sadness of his passing is shared with his former coworkers and manager at the market where he worked. It was truly a pleasure to have known him.
Currently on sickleave, my contact with Westminster has been occasional and I just became aware of Nick’s passing.
Few students leave a permanent impression with a teacher, but some are truly special. Nick was one of those.
Fond memories of the many hours spend in discussion after class/ school, his guitar sessions on occasion and always his work still got done and he was always at/near the top of the class. Bright, articulate and always a “class act”, he will remain in a special place in my heart and cherished memories.
