Fran was a special friend when we worked together at the nursing school Fanshawe College, St. Thomas campus. Fran was always with a smile and calm as anything. She loved her connection to the young students and to the career of nursing. I have thought of Fran many times over the past years when retirement takes us away from those who completed a time of life. Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends who will always keep Fran alive in their hearts. Rest peacefully friend.
Fran was a classmate of my mum, Nancy, (HSC) so I had the pleasure of seeing Fran periodically over the years. I am sorry that you have lost such a wonderful, lively spirit. Sue
Fran was a second mother to me. I arrived in London in August of 1993 to start my first year at UWO. Her endless hospitality and humour made me feel so welcome at St. James Westminster. I cannot even begin to figure out just how many pies, cookies and jars of chili sauce (her secret recipe that she never shared!)I consumed during the years in London. In later years, after I moved to Nova Scotia and then to Hamilton, I did not see her often. I always cherished my visits, and her apartment always seemed to be a beehive of activity — friends calling and stopping by. What a lady! She loved all her family so very much, and I was privileged to be a part of her life. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and know that I will never, ever forget Fran.
