It is very sad for those of us who have been members at Highland for many years to lose one of our long-time familiar faces. He was a regular on both the golf course and curling ice, played both sports with enthusiasm and had a keen interest in the well being of the club as well. I send my condolences to Bill’s family. We, the ‘veteran’ members, will miss him too.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and this most difficult time. God bless.

DearDave and Cathy and Lynda;I am so very sorry to hear of the recent passing of your father, husband, and great grandfather to his numerous neices and nephews.,also his very precious extended family members per se.It was certainly a very humbling and heartwarming experience to have the extreme priviledge to work for a TRUE AMBASSADOR FOR HUMANITY -YOUNG AND OLD ,WHATEVER THE CASE AND CIRCUMSTANCES MAY HAVE BEEN IN EACH INDIVIDUALS LIFE.I always will cherish my interview for the inventory position at CBS EQUIPMENTon Monday June6,1978.Your dad said where is the wheelchair my son at which time I started to laugh and stated it must be invisible in nature somewhat being PHYSICALLY CHALLEGED WITH CEREBRAL PALSY THE PAST 60 YEARS SINCE JUNE 27,1953 AND WITH ONLY TWO MONTHS EXPERIENCE ON A MANUAL KARDEX SYSTEM COURTESY OF JACK FLANAGAN OF FLANAGAN WAREHOUSING AND DISTRIBUTION WHERE MY DAD happened to be the supervisor as of NOVEMBER1,1974.So thus my tenure in the POWER TRANSMISSION BUSINESS BEGAN WITH THE VERY DILLIGENT HELPING HAND OF ERIC CLINTON(Bill;s Fine Son throughout the summer of June-September1978-April 11,1984 where once again changes were made within the organization with the RIGHT HONOURABLE MR.CRUDEN TAKING OVER AS SOLE PROPRIETOR OF THE BUSINESS WITH LLOYD BOUGHER AND MR.BILL CLINTON LEAVING THE CORPORATE ENTITY PER SE ALONG WITH YOURS TRULY.Little did Mr.C know ,but changes were truly indeed forthcoming in the not too distant future along with numerous personnel cnflicts with established knowledgable employees which would culminate with dissention and ultimate reorganization of the current business model in January 1997 under the ownership of Mr.Jay Shore and the expansion of the firm to a ultimate total of 5 branches all at a costs of knowledgable valued employees while a certain person was chasing the BRASS RING IN THE BUSINESS WORLD,along with his PHILADEPHAPIC AND SPORTS INTERESTS PER SE.So in conclusion REST IN PEACE ,MONSENIOUR CRUDEN;YOUR LEGACY WILL LIVE ON FOR ALL TO SEE AND LIVE UP TO.I FOR ONE BID YOU ADEUIA’-MY FRIEND-BRIAN CROSS-INVENTORY CONTROLLER-CBS EQUIPMENT-JUNE6,1978-APRIL 11,1984.CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENATIVE ST.JOSEPH;D HOSPITAL PARKWOOD SITE-LONDON,ONTARIO.JANUARY 2 1985-OCTOBER10.2013-28 YEARS-10 MONTHS AND STILL GOING STRONG.

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I had the pleasure of working alongside Bill on the Ronald McDonald House Charity Bonspiel. His smiling face and positive attitude will be what I remember the most about Bill. Bill will be missed around Highland Country Club as he was one of the club President’s who truly wanted what was best for the members. It was a pleasure to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time.
Hi Linda, we heard from Neil, that Bill had passed away suddenly playing golf—we did not know Bill, however Bren & I wanted to pass along our thoughts and prayers to you and the family—the loss is hurtful however as a Golfer I am sure Bill could not have been in a better place than on the Golf course—all the best Linda, you are more than welcome to visit and stay should you ever come to Calgary—Rick & Brenda
