Velta you have left this world too early. I imagined you would be here for years to come and that we would have all the time we wanted for our visits. You were someone I looked up to, strived to emulate, and most of all, loved dearly; I hope I let you know that. Your love for your animal friends is the thing I admired the most about you. The way you cared for your dogs, horses, and cats was to me, remarkable: special mixtures of your mother’s honey for ailing Betoo, a warm mash prepared in your kitchen every morning for Target’s compromised digestive system, and the Bach Flower remedies you administered to the many feral cats you befriended; such a gift you had.
I have the honour of knowing you my entire life and will cherish the many memories I have of you. May you be in peace wherever you are, love Kirstin.

Ren and I wish to express our condolences to Velta’s family and friends. Velta was very helpful to us not only as we constructed a new dwelling, but also as we contemplated some renovations to our home to accommodate our guests who have special needs. Her insight and suggestions were extremely helpful to us. We miss her outgoing character and the love and compassion that she showed to her family, friends, and her horses.
