DENNIS, Shirley……
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, after a brief illness on Friday, June 13, 2014, Shirley M. (Howson) Dennis of Lambeth, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Dennis (1995). Dearly loved mother of Stephen Dennis of Lambeth. Special aunt to Becky Eagles (Robin) of Belleville. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Shirley will be greatly missed by her many friends in the local music scene. She loved music, especially jazz and was an avid Blue Jays fan. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2001 Dundas Street East, London (Please meet at cemetery office, located on the east side of the cemetery). Donations in Shirley’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 180-633 Colborne Street, London ON N6B 2V3, would be greatly appreciated. A. Hi Stephen
You may remember me, we lived next to you in Byron and I babysat you a few times. So sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. I did visit her once many years ago but did think of her often. Our parents had some great memories while they were neighbours.
A Special Lady of so many talents will truly be missed. A spontaneous smile, an ability to express genuine emotion to music will fondly be remembered.
