Obituary
HUXLEY, Bernice…….
The final curtain call for Bernice Huxley (née Tiede) was on August 10th, 2014 as she checked out of the Village of Glendale Crossing and back into the arms of her late husband Jim Huxley (2012). The job for this pint sized mother of four boys was never done as her sons and family loved to throw her curveballs at every opportunity. Yet her feisty nature always found her on top and them back in their places. Seeing her off onto her final journey were these 4 facetious sons and their ever patient partners; Bill and April (Niagara Falls), Ron and Debbie (Port Franks), Rick and Kim (London) and Fred and Chris (London). Ever grateful for their inherited funny-bones are Bernice’s grandchildren; Shelley Huxley and Iain, Tracy Huxley and Nigel, Ryan Huxley and Kelsey, Carol Huxley, Greg Huxley and Erin, Lyndsay Ashby, Garrett Huxley, Patrick Huxley, Michael Huxley, Spencer Huxley and Brianne. Still learning their supernatural powers handed down by their great grandmother are Evan and Nathan Pooley, Keenan and Elise Ashby and Annabel Huxley. She will be sorely missed by her sisters Theresa and Audrey, predeceased by her brother Ralph and her sister Mary. Bernice never forgot all of her extended family who came into her life through her children and grandchildren over the years, bringing her everlasting smiles and memories. Her life is to be celebrated in the manner she lived…with laughter, jokes, love and rice pudding. Friends and relatives will be received by the family on Tuesday August 12, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment to take place at Woodland Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind at Gift in memory CNIB 1929 Bayview Avenue Toronto, ON M4G 3E8.
