Mike was a great guy. We worked together for many years at MOE and OCWA. He always had something interesting to say and we had many good conversations. We always relied on him for taking good pics at all the events. I remember him being our Santa at the kids Christmas party at Circle R Ranch, you were a great Santa Mike. It was too soon to say good-bye Mike, but I am glad I got up to see you at the Hospital and we got to have a hug and some reflection time together. You will be missed by me and many others!
RIP Mike xoxoxox

My deepest sympathy to Mike’s family members for your loss. Mike was one of my first mentors and a great role model when I started working for the M.O.E. at the Elgin Water Plant. He was also a great soft ball slugger when we had our annual soft ball game with Grand Bend Water Plant back in the day. I found myself chasing a lot of his home run hits and only ever managing to catch one of his long hits to the out field. I will always remember him as good mand the good times I was able to share with him during my start in the water and wastewater profession. Rest in Peace Mike.

My condolences to the family and friends of Mike Auger. Mike was one of my many mentors throughout my career. His memory to details was very impressive. He would write brief notes on paper napkins and make full presentations at municipal council meetings with accurate budget numbers and plans for the future. Truly a gifted person.

So very sorry for the loss of Mike and that we were unable to attend his memorial. Having met him in Cuba, there is where we learned of his passing. As many of his London Cuba friends were there at that time, we had the opportunity to reflect on our good times with Michael together.
A fine man, he was always generous with his time and talents. He will be forever remembered in the chime of our doorbell (which he fixed) and in the running water of our fountain for which he ran the electrical wires.
He will be missed very much at our London “Cuba Meetings” and as a very special, true friend.

We are so saddened by Mike’s death, we are vendors at the Western Fair Farmer’s Market and Mike used to come there quite often, we got to know him quite well and would look forward to him telling us about his various trips to Cuba. He brought us a couple of dvd’s about Cuba. We will sorely miss his smiling face and our deepest condolences to his family.
