We are sadden by the passing of your dad. Had memories of him drinking a beer and enjoying life. He always had a smile on his face. He is now with his wife and still smiling and in no pain. Bill Jody

Janet & Mike Bob was such a great guy and we are so pleased we got to spend so many X-mas eves with him at your house. The best times was around your boat sitting on the deck chairs and having a few cocktails and him telling us stories of you monkey’s when you were children. His face always lit up when you would tell stories about your Mom and her answer to anything was I’ll cook something and let’s all sit around the table. I hate it when people say he is in abetter place in your mind the best place is with you and your Brothers & Sisters but just think who he is with right now and how happy he is. Mary is making that special sauce of hers as we speak. Echo sends his love to his GodParents and his little legs are around your neck and giving you kisses. Love You
Dear Mary Lynn and Don,
May you find comfort in the love of friends and family during this difficult time. Your father is at peace.
Love, Lily and Michael
Ken and I both worked for Bob many years ago. Bob and Mary were also at our wedding 40 years ago. We wish the family our condolences.
To The Downie Family:
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. I first met Bob in 2002 when I was employed at Dale’s dealership. He was always so friendly when he and his brother Bill dropped in. He always said “make it happen!”, always so positive. From there, so many fun memories – playing poker, bingo, weekends at the cottage with friends – lots of laughs and stories around the camp fire. He used to call me his “decorator” because I decorated his apartment and at Christmas time too So many good memories over the years. He was like an Uncle to me. I will truly miss him. He will always hold a special place in my heart. When I visited him at Richmond Woods, he looked to good, it is hard to believe he is gone. But he will never be forgotten.
Sorry to hear of your loss.
We wish to express our deepest sympathies to John and Josee on their loss of their Dad. It sounds like he had an exceptional life and was a great roll model for his family.
Sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with John and Josee and the rest of the Downie family.
Mary Lynn & Carol –
My condolences at the loss of your Dad. Sympathies to you & your families.
Dale
To the Downie family –
Words alone can’t express the sadness I feel on hearing of Bob’s death. For so many years, he – and your mom – were such a big part of our summers at Ipperwash. Although the visits have been less frequent recently, please know that he was never far from my thoughts. My prayers are with you.
To Dale and Stephanie and Families – my sympathy at this time of loss. It isn’t easy at any time, but this time of year makes it a little harder. Again, my sympathy. Herb Summers.
The Downie and Jago families shared many great times at Ipperwash. Thinking of all of you at this time. We will arrange a get-together this summer of the two families to raise a toast to your Dad.
Carol & Janet, My condolences at the loss of your Dad. Sympathies to you & your families.
Nicole
