WHITTINGTON, Ethel….
We sadly announce the sudden passing of our mother at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, June 26, 2015, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Leslie “Les” Whittington. Loving mother of Sharon Jean (the late Robert) Williams, and Dianne Joyce Walker-Barfett. Cherished grandmother of Leslie (Chantal), Tod (Wendy), and Wayne Williams, Shawn (Tanya), Warren (Christine), and Nathan (Kim) Barfett, and by her 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters. Dear sister of Dr. Joyce Harris. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Linda Susan Whittington, her siblings Marjorie, Beryl and Ernest, and her great granddaughter Lindsey. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9pm on Sunday June 28, 2015 and from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11am, at The Church of The Epiphany, 11 Briscoe Street, London, with Reverend Teresa Corrigan officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to The Church of Epiphany Memorial Fund, or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 442 Adelaide St N, London, ON N6B 3H8.
