Good memories of the past …
The Joe was a unique, talented guy.
RIP.
I know you and Billy H .will “LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL”. R.I.P. Joe
Joe was my Mom’s friend over 20 years ago. He was very good to her when she was alive, and very helpful to our family after she passed away. He was a very smart man and very talented too!
I have many pleasant memories of Joe as a founding member of the Do-Drops, a great late 50s/early 60s rock and roll band in London, along with Bill Kirkpatrick, Billy Hilton and Rene Strausser. Rock on, Joe.
Fantastic musician and nice man..you will be missed…rip in music heaven.
Many, many happy memories of Joe: playing with Plum Loco at Mr Ks, or Fluffy’s (loved hearing himplay and sing “Walking to New Orleans”), Thanksgiving dinners with family and friends (Joe always appreciated good food), New Year’s Eve parties at our house, making us laugh so hard. Rest in Peace, Joe.
The time I spent with Joe while performing with “Johnny and the Canadians” gave me the opportunity to experience Joe’s immense talent and personality. He was always the source of fun and inspiration for all of us. My condolences to all his family. With Love
Thanks for all the wonderful memories you left me with, rocking at the pub or out fishing at Meaford. You were a great teacher of life and the world will certainly miss your talent and spirit. Not too great on the housekeeping end though….lol
I was saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. Besides being a great guy with an always quick sense of humour he was a wonderful piano player and a rock of London’s music scene for almost as long as I can remember. When I was a young cat starting out in the business I was always blown away by his talent and mellow personality. Through the many years that I knew him I always appreciated his friendship and his music. He made everybody that played with him sound better. I would like to offer my condolences to his family and friends. For myself though, rather than resting in peace, in my mind I’d like to imagine he will always be rocking somewhere…..G.
