Marion was one of the kindest women I have been privileged to know. In the 4 years I was able to spend time with her and Harold. She was patient and showed how much she loved Harold and her little dog Mitzi . She spoke often about how they took Mitzi to the mall and shared her cookie with her. She never wanted to impose on anyone but was always ready to help. She was the queen of her kitchen. I also had the pleasure of hearing her sing on occasion and she seldom missed the opportunity to sing in the choir at the church she loved so much. She had a wonderful voice.
She was a classy woman and insisted on getting all decked out when she went out even to the point of wearing shoes that hurt her feet. She kept a tidy house and I was always amazed at what she could do with Christmas Cactus’s. She said she didn’t do much but I know her love made them grow just as everything she touched.
Marion and Harold raised their children to be warm, loving and polite adults and she was always so excited when they came for visits and made sure she introduced them every time. They always made everyone feel welcome but challenged salesmen and Doctors lol.
Watching Harold and his neighbours from the old house raz each other while they played cards was always amusing.
I will miss my visits with both of them but I know they are in heaven likely telling each other what to do. A long and loving marriage even in to eternity!
God Bless you both
Valerie
