WILLIAMSON, Jack….

With joyous memories and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of John “Jack” Williamson of London, in his 78th year, on Thursday, June 1, 2017.  Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Oliver) Williamson for 50 years. Loving father of Dave Williamson (Robin) of Dorchester and Amy Williamson (Jodi Benson) of Spokane, WA. Adored grandfather to Cooper and Devon, and step-grandchildren Jordyn and Gabriel. Treasured brother to Ann Cox (Gerald) of Etobicoke, and brother-in-law to Jim Oliver (Lois) and Shirley Oliver of Kitchener. Precious uncle to Tiffany (Michael), Geoff (Leanne), Scott (Hanifa), Jill (Greg), Greg (Meredith) and Chris (Jen). Predeceased by his parents Jean and Arthur Williamson, his brother-in-law Doug Oliver and his sister-in-law Shirley Oliver. Originally from Brownsville, ON, Jack also lived in Tillsonburg and Stratford before settling in London.  The family would like to thank EMS and the staff at University Hospital for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (10-11 am) to the Celebration of Jack’s life which will be held at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street, London, ON N6A 3P8 on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 am, with The Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Crittenden officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Metropolitan United Church – Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 180-633 Colborne Street, London ON N6B 2V3.  Private interment in St. George’s Cemetery, Hyde Park.
