Joyce was most importantly a women of faith and loved the Lord. With the ministry as a preacher’s wife she was challenged in many ways and situations she encountered. She and her husband worked their way through them with prayer and the closeness of a their family.
Joyce was a devoted and proud mother of her son Mike. She was also a good and caring Aunt.
She was always intrigued by family linage leading to her interest, research, and writing a book on family genealogy. With all the reading she did with the genealogy it was a good thing that she had an avid love of reading a diversity of literature and a librarian.
Over her life time she always loved animals and especially her dogs growing up and as an adult. Pictures of her often showed her with her dog in her lap.
One of the great things about Joyce was she enjoyed humor and saw it in many situations including her own actions. She loved a GOOD LAUGH!
After a devoted marriage of 60 years filled with much love she is once again with her husband, family, and the Lord SHE LOVED!
