Peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Dearness Home, London, John Sumner passed away in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Catherine for 64 years. Dear father of John and his wife Lorraine of San Diego, David of Bayfield and Peter and his wife Terry of London. Loving Grandad of Jonathon (Annie), Jillian, Jordan and Amanda. Also missed by his great granddaughter Molly and great grandson Jayden. Fondly remembered by his niece Dianne Arnold. Survived by his brother Eric of Southport, England. Predeceased by his brother Ernest and sister Betty.
John was an enthusiastic piano and organ player all his life and an active member of his U. A. Local 593 Plumbers and Steamfitters. Friends are welcomed for visitation on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
