BEARDSHAW, Mary Emmaline “Emma” (nee Sanderson)….
Monday, April 14, 1930 – Friday, August 3, 2018
Emma passed peacefully at University Hospital in the wee hours of Friday, August 3, 2018 with her husband George of 66 years and Judi by her side in her 88th year. Predeceased by her parents Norm and Agnes (Howatt), brother William and sister Grace. Beloved cousin to Murray & Joan, Carman & Ruth, Lloyd & June Howatt, Fern Hershey, Edna MacDonald and Sanderson families of the Blyth/Clinton area. Special aunt to Alan, Elizabeth (Sutherland) Beardshaw and families. Dearest friend of Donna & Jack Brittain of Oshawa, neighbours on Bruce Street, Comrades at A.N.A.F. Imperial Unit 229 London and her buddy Matt who always made her laugh. She spent 40 years as an RNA on the surgical ward of the old Victoria Hospital and crocheted gifts for many people. She travelled with George to various places around the world. Emma was an amazing pianist and loved music and dogs. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 12-1 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London with the funeral service being held in the funeral home chapel at 1 pm. Interment will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 1 pm at Mount Brydges Cemetery. George and Judi would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all staff on the 7th and 10th floor Palliative Care Units at University Hospital for the compassionate care they provided to Emma and us. I am very sorry to hear of Emma’s passing. I have known Emma and George for the past number of years. She was always a delightful person, always had a smile or a giggle. Best memory of Emma is her sitting beside George as he was being interviewed, she lovingly reached over to smooth his hair, then giggled. My heart goes out to her family and to George and Judi.

So sorry to hear of Emma’s passing. I such fond memories of driving George & Emma to Black Creek Pioneer Village for a British Home Child event a couple of years back. It was the first time that I got to know Emma and George and enjoyed being the chauffeur.

Dearest great uncle George we are so sorry to hear great aunt Emma has passed away we have very fond memories of you both when you came to visit your sister Mary in England uk sadly Mary passed away in 2004 and that’s the last time we spoke to you we look after your sisters grave as she is our Nana as im her daughters Son we would love to write and send you some pictures as you are a great great great uncle now to our sons children .please if anyone has an address for you email us on the email address we have given hopefully we can chat take care great uncle George xx Love Brian and Karen sleep tight great auntie Emm xx
