We are so sad and distressed to hear of the death of our dear friend Bryan. He was my best friend for nearly 40 years and will be missed dreadfully. We had some great times together. We would fly over from the UK, spend time with Bryan and Barb and went on trips all over Ontario. A favourite past time was stopping for a “cuppa” on the way somewhere, out would come the camping stove. Without fail something would have been left behind! Picnics shared with friends made them so happy.
They were the witnesses at our Christmas Wedding in 2008 and even came on honeymoon with us to a frozen Niagara Falls!
We would tease poor Bryan relentlessly and fall about laughing at some of his antics. Like the time in a pet shop with a huge fishtank. Bryan was walking up and down making ‘fish faces’ into the tank unaware that 30 shoppers has stopped to watch him. We would have “lets be nice to Bryan” days which would make him laugh – and worried!
How we are going to miss those days, the fun, the laughter, talking all day and night, sharing, enjoying life together.
He was a clever, wonderful man – always remembered as a Kind and Gentle Soul.
God Bless our dear friend and know you are happy again to be with your Barb.
Goodbye for now
Michael and Alan, UK
We are very sorry for your loss. Brian has been our neighbour on Gerrard street for many years, and we knew him as a kind soft spoken man. He was devoted to your mom, and never truly happy without her by his side. Now he is with her,and that should make his loss easier for you. Our thoughts are truly with you and your family at this sad time. Paul and Helen Spence
We were great friends in our youth as we worked together in Long Branch, On. Then I introduced Bryan to my sister Barbara whom he married and they spent many loving years together, bringing up Karen and Debbie. Kate and I won’t forget the wonderful trip we shared with them to Nova Scotia in 1999 and our return trip from England to help Barbara celebrate her 70th birthday in 2008. A great loss for Karen, Debbie and Bryan’s sister Pat.
