CARRUTHERS, Susan “Sue”
Peacefully with her family by her side, at Victoria Hospital, London, on February 13, 2020, Sue Carruthers passed away in her 74th year. Beloved mother of Josh Foster and his wife Kristin Lythgoe. Dear sister of Lizbeth and Becky Carruthers. Aunt of Lauren (Jeff) and Alex (Jordan) and great-aunt to Carter, Rori and Emmett. Predeceased by her parents Kay and Bruce Carruthers. Sue proudly worked as a Registered Nurse at University Hospital, London for 40 years. A private family service will take place at a later date. Donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program, London Health Sciences Foundation, 747 Baseline Road East, London, ON, N6C 2R6. Arrangements entrusted with A. So sorry to hear about Sue. I met her when we worked in the NICU at St Joseph’s hospital. Then together again at University hospital on the peadiatric unit. We worked many a Christmas Eve and Christmas on nights together. Onto the neuroscience floor. She was a great nurse and a great team member. She will be missed by all.

Josh, my deepest sympathies to you and Kristen and all your family. I knew your Mom for many years while working at UH, although we didn’t work on the same unit, we shared many a story. I’ll miss her jokes sent by email. Always a bit of laughter in the day.
I worked 18 years with Sue at UH. I remember all the fun times we had. She was a great friend and I’ll miss our chats and emails. My condolences to Josh, Liz and Becky.

Just heard the news of Sue’s passing. Smiled at the memories I have of Sue from working together at UH- I always wanted to be on break with Sue- ’cause I knew I would laugh! An amazing nurse and person.
I fondly remember Sue from our Kingston General Hospital. Nursing School Days 1968-71.
