Our deepest sympathy Kevin. Janet was a pillar in our community for so very long. She was a big hearted woman who always had a kind word for everyone. She is at peace now and will be watching over you from above.
such wonderful memories of this lovely lady, all our years at 166! making me pickled beets, lovely tomatoes from her garden, taking her shopping and caring for Tucker & CC. She had a heart of gold. God bless you during this difficult time Kevin, but your memories will sustain you.
Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.”
I only had the pleasure of knowing Janet for a little while at Elmwood. I knew her as a delightfully determined Lady who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. If I received a compliment from Janet, I knew I had earned it. She and Viola shared a room. They called each other “mom” I’m not sure who was who’s mom but it didn’t seem to matter. When Kevin came to visit you could always be sure of hearing one of his off the wall, humorous stories. A song from Kevin’s childhood is now a part of my songbook and we often sing it in our Bible Studies. I know she will be missed and I am thankful for being able to have known this beautiful lady. May God remind you Kevin, that He is with you now in your time of grief and May He always hold you in the palm of His hand.
Love ya, Chaplain Marilyn

I only had the pleasure of knowing Janet for a few years, but I did enjoy spending time her at brother Bill’s at special holidays. A lovely lady.
Kevin, I’m so sorry I just heard that your mom passed away. I wanted to express my sympathy to you. I remember your mom diligently making chocolate roses for the limousine companies we worked for. We shared a lot of laughs together. I hope you find strength and peace.
