It is with both sadness and gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Diane DeActis (née Jeffery) on Friday, August 14, 2026 at her home at Manor Village in London, Ontario, in her 98th year. Surrounded by the love of her family, Patricia went home to be with her Lord, eager to be reunited with the love of her life, her beloved husband, Peter, whom she has missed dearly for the past 21 years.

Patricia was the cherished daughter of the late Wilbur Jeffery (1953) and Marjorie Jeffery (2001). She was a devoted and loving mother to Tim (Janet), Terry (Sue), Jon (Debbie), Danny, Lori (Bill) Bethel, and Linda (Stuart) Suchard. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Affectionately known as “Nanny,” Patricia leaves behind a remarkable legacy through her 16 grandchildren and their spouses and partners, as well as 37 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family, lifelong friends, neighbours, and the many members of her church family whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith.

Pat dedicated many years of service to Canada Post, where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly spirit. She also enjoyed many wonderful trips to sunny Florida, creating treasured memories with family and friends.

Pat was deeply admired for her kindness and unwavering devotion to her family. She made everyone feel like family, welcoming them into her home with open arms. She would prepare meals with love, creating a space where everyone felt cared for. A woman of deep Christian faith, Pat lived a life rooted in love, grace, and quiet service. Her family will forever treasure her faithful prayers, steadfast encouragement, and the example she set through a life devoted to God and to those she loved. Her gentle presence, compassionate heart, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Although Pat’s physical presence will be deeply missed, her love and legacy will live on for generations to come. She will be remembered in the stories shared around family tables, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the bright smiles and sparkling eyes of her great-grandchildren. Every cherished memory, every family tradition, every prayer, and every act of kindness inspired by her will keep her spirit close. Though she has gone home to be with her Lord and is joyfully reunited with Pete, the love she poured into her family will continue to shine through each life she touched.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Compass Community Church, 345 Pond Mills Road, London on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held immediately following the visitation. Private family interment will have taken place earlier at Woodland Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marbeen, the VON Palliative Care Team, and the compassionate staff at Manor Village and Chartwell Riverside for their exceptional care, kindness, and tender support throughout Pat’s journey.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing Pat is now safely in the arms of Jesus. Reunited with Pete, she has found everlasting peace. Her life was one of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and quiet strength – a legacy that will continue to bless her family for generations to come.
