Obituary
FLYNN, Margaret “Maggie”…
Peacefully in her sleep at home, Margaret “Maggie” passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Michael Flynn for 48 years. Loving mother of Erin Flynn (Adam Taylor) and Julie O’Donnell (Martin). Proud nana of Josephine and Ivy. Maggie will be so dearly missed by her sisters Marilyn Henigan, Annie Redmond (Barry), Mary McDonald, Rosie Manning and Theresa Flanagan (Lou) and their families. She shared a special relationship with her cousins and will be forever remembered by her many in-laws, their families and her closest friends. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Kate, and her brother Gary.
Maggie found her greatest joy at Ipperwash Beach, where she spent countless summers surrounded by family, trailers, and cozy cottages, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. She had a natural gift for bringing people together, whether hosting lively gatherings or being the heart of any celebration she attended. She loved to travel, especially anywhere with water, and enjoyed simple adventures like day trips on the motorcycle, embracing every moment along the way. Deeply devoted to her family, she especially adored her granddaughters, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Maggie loved the outdoors, whether tending to her garden or soaking in the peace of the beach, she was happiest under the open sky. She took great pride in her career in retail, retiring from Costco after many dedicated years, where she built not only a strong work legacy but also many lasting friendships.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Maggie’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. In Maggie’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1200-2300 Yonge Street, Box 2414, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4 or to the Breast Care Program through St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation, PO Box 5777 STN B, London, ON, N6A 4V2. Family gatherings just won’t be the same without Maggie leading the way. She was always the first one to start the fun and the last one to let the party end. From wearing our Sunday best celebrating Easter weekends in earlier childhood, to memories of camping trips at Ipperwash Beach, McLaughlin family gatherings, or the late-night laughter of weekend dinners in Georgetown, Maggie made life fun. We are fortunate to have shared so many laughs and great nights with her over the years. We will miss her dearly and will continue to raise a glass in her memory every chance we get.
Mike, Erin, Julie and families, we are so sorry for your loss. To our dear Manning cousins we share in your grief and are thinking of you all.

Those who feel the greatest loss are those who have had the most to lose and for this I can only imagine the depths of your grief, Mike and family. We can see Marg on the deck of the house boat, drink in hand and a smile on her face. Her sudden bursts of laughter, humorous comebacks, and that constant light in her eyes will remain in our memory and in our hearts always. She was joy in all of its finest forms, and we hope you all find peace in knowing that she always knew how much you loved her. We loved her too! XO
Sending my deepest condolences to the Manning & Flynn families on the loss of Margie. Wishing you all strength in the days ahead as you navigate the sudden loss of Margie who left us far too soon.

I loved Margaret. I called her Margaret because when we started Costco together there was already a Marg working there and it was easier to differentiate.
Margaret was a hard working, fun loving spirit. She brought levity and kindness to every day that I shared with her. She brought goodies in after every occasion if she had extra. She shared her vast gardening knowledge with us, and the best stories.
Her generosity will not soon be forgotten. Legendary!
I will never forget a road trip to Michigan we took to check out a Costco there. This was pre GPS and I was driving my husband’s beater truck with one window in the back that didn’t go down. No air-conditioning. Poor Kelli D. We got lost at one point, and I innocently suggested to knock on a random strangers door to ask for directions. Well … Margaret said, “ARE YOU CRAZY, GIRL? …. ” Lol. We got directions at a golf course. She was a beautiful light in this world for so many, but especially her family whom she adored. She spoke of them so often. I loved hearing about the beautiful grand babies. May her family find comfort in the coming days, and in the future beyond, sincere condolences 🙏
I will treasure her memory.
Thank you, Margaret. You will be greatly missed.
As our neighbour for the past 20 years , we are so saddened by the passing of our beloved Maggie. Wishing strength for Mike in these challenging times.

Princess Margaret will be missed. It was our pleasure getting to meet her.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of margrets sudden passing. I met her while on vacation in cuba! Found out we didnt live too far from eachother. I had only had the chance to meet up with her and mike once since we got back from cuba, but was looking forward to seeing them again.
Wishing the family peace during this very hard time.
My condolences to Mike (Mr. Flynn) and Family.
Thinking of you Mike. All the Best to you and your Family at this difficult time. Take care.
I worked with Margaret at Costco for 12 years. I enjoyed our many chats in the lunch room. Some days we would laugh, other days we would want to ring someone’s neck. It was always an emotional roller coaster. We chatted about anything and laughed at everything. Margaret made the time at work fun. Truly a wonderful soul. May she rest in peace. My condolence to the family 🙏🏻
Mike, my friend, the word of Margie’s passing is just devastating. Please accept our deepest sympathies at this time. Your Margie was a special lady. Doreen and I always enjoyed our encounters with her, first at White Rose and later at Costco. Since her retirement from Costco, we have often said that, back in the day, she had been responsible for enrichening the visiting experience for us with her great sense of humour and warm personality. She was one of a kind.

Mike and family:
We were so sorry to hear of the loss of dear Margie. She had a contagious smile and infectious laugh that will be greatly missed by all. Thinking back on all our fun times in Ellicottville, Lobsterfest, and dinners with the Wilkinson’s, Duquette’s and you both–treasured memories. 💙
Mike, Erin and Julie and all of the Manning sisters,
It’s been over a week and I still have trouble processing that Margie is gone. As cousins we shared so many childhood memories; our family with 6 kids and hers with 7; never a dull moment! When Mike and Marg and their young daughters were living in Calgary, my brother Bill and his family shared many special memories together. I will treasure the last visit I had with Margie when we shared some laughs about family life “back in the day”! Sincere condolences to you all as you grieve the loss of your wife, Mom and sister.
Love Sydney
