It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Woodward.
Mark is survived by his wife Samantha and his cherished sons Zachary and Max. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Kelly. Also surviving are his parents, William and Lynda, and his nieces Chloe and Emma.
His presence, humour, and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. An open house reception will be following at the Woodward residence. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Mark may be made to CAMH. It’s hard to believe that Mark is really gone. He was so, so alive and loved by many people.

I am absolutely stunned by the news of Mark’s passing. I have had the privilege of being neighbours with the Woodward family for over 20 years. Mark’s intelligence, wit and kindness were immense. I will always remember and cherish our cordial driveway chats and warm visits to each others’ homes. My deepest condolences to Samantha, Zach and Max during this incredibly difficult time.

To Sam, Zach, Max and everyone in the Woodward family, Henry and I are crushed by the news of Mark’s passing. It’s so hard to comprehend that he is gone. He was a pillar of our little Wortley community of friends and will be missed terribly. Parties and gatherings won’t seem the same without him. Sending our love and friendship.
We are devastated to hear of the passing of our dear friend and mentor Mark. To all of his family, we give our deepest condolences during this extremely difficult time. Mark’s time with us, while far too short, was a blessing and a privilege. Please know that we are keeping him close in our hearts. We know many past DQ and Fleetway staff will greatly miss him. Mark was a genuinely lovely human. I will miss his laugh, his smile and even his really bad taste in music. (Just my opinion). His love and level of information regarding the most obscure bands will forever be remembered. I would gladly have him clear the dance floor with his musical choices if that meant we got to have him back in our lives.

Dear Sam, Zack and Max,
At this impossibly heartbreaking time, I will do my best to carry forward Mark’s legacy of genuine authentic open hearted kindness. His humility, smile and genuine presence welcomed us to the neighbourhood with such grace. On the pickelball court he celebrated fun and effort over outcome. Chatting at neighbourhood gatherings he was present and genuinely open and interested in others. May Mark’s impact on our hearts ever remind us of the presence of his love and light. May we hold each other in the absence of this physical form as he would have wanted to be able to do himself.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Sam, Zach, and Max. It was a pleasure to work with Mark at DQ, and I always enjoyed our time together in the kitchen. We shared many great conversations about music and film, and many of the bands I still listen to today were introduced to me by him. Mark was such a kind, funny, and caring person. Although his passing feels far too soon, he leaves behind many wonderful memories that will not be forgotten.

Mark was a little like the King of Kensington of Wortley Village. Everyone knew and recognized him. I have memories of chatting and laughing at funny conversations during dinner parties, Christmas Open Houses, and of course at gatherings on the Green. Mark was a great and fun loving neighbour and friend to many. His passing will be felt deeply by many, especially his family. Sending my sincerest condolences to Sam, Zack, and Max. XO
