MITCHELL, Anna
June 5, 1932 to December 26, 2025
We are saddened to announce the passing of Anna K Mitchell (Robin) in her 94th year. Loving wife of the late Gordon (2013), mother to Moira Hernould (late Simon), David Mitchell (late Rose), James Mitchell (Tracey), Janet Sherritt (Bill) and Robert Mitchell (Sandy), and her only sibling Margaret Vetter (Dennis).
She leaves behind 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Anna came to Canada from Scotland as a teenager and she and Gordon raised their five children in Byron where they lived for about 65 years.
A private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Anna may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners. Arrangements entrusted with A. Dear Moira and Marg: Sorry to read about the loss of a mom and a sister in this morning’s obituaries. She has lived a good long life and was fortunate enough to see her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and even a great grandchild. I didn’t know her well, but mt her a few times and remember being in their home the day of Moira’s wedding. Trust you will know comfort and peace during these days. God Bless
