STINSON, Donald Earl “Don”

Peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Victoria Hospital, London, Don passed away in his 92^nd year.  Beloved father of David Stinson and Sandra Stinson and her husband Matthew Vezina. In his later years, he was comforted by the care and compassion given by his former wife Mary Stinson. Dear brother of Marjorie Wisby, Bruce Stinson, Walter Stinson, Elvin Stinson, and Mary Williston.  Predeceased by his parents Earl and Maggie May Stinson. Don will be lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends.

Don loved hobby farming, spending over 30 years cultivating the land. Blessed with a green thumb, he grew gladiolus, raspberries, and a variety of garden vegetables, which he generously shared with neighbours and friends. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing soccer and hockey, he was an avid baseball player and fan. A devoted man of faith, he loved to preach and teach his faith.  Don enjoyed travelling with his family—always eager to learn the history of the places he visited. In his later years Don admired Ken Burns story telling style particularly documentaries devoted to history.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Don may be made to the War Amps.
