Obituary
RODEN, Moira…
Moira Roden passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, June 16, 2025 in her 85th year.
Loving mother to Beccy, Josh and his wife Diana, all of London. Cherished grandmother and museum buddy to Taylor. Beloved sister to John and his partner Sharon. Predeceased by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, Keith Roden.
Moira was a woman of joy and quick wit, with laughter as her favourite form of punctuation. Moira believed that a day was not a good day until she had laughed at least once which was a value passed down to her children and granddaughter.
She will forever be remembered as a woman who brought joy to those around her over tea and a sweet treat at her famous dining table.
The Roden family is endlessly grateful for the kindness shown by the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital over Moira’s final days. Their hard work and dedication to patient care during this difficult time will never be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. In Moira’s memory, sympathy donations may be made to the London Scottish Rite Learning Centre, 468 Colborne Street, London, ON N6B 2T3. I always had fun & deightful conversations with Moira and felt like she treated me as if I was her adult grandchild! lol! (very sweetly) I always appreciated her kindness, humour (love the photo!) and her real life perspective in our chats. She always made time for me. I miss her and Keith. Much love to your whole family.
How sad to hear of Moira’s passing. I remember that Keith’s licence plate was her name. While I have not lived in London for many years now Moira and Keith were so important to the cadets when I was there. They gave a great deal to the program and loved the youth. My deepest condolences to your family.
Beccy & Josh

Very sad to hear of this loss for your family. I have very fond memories of lovely chats with your zoom at a variety of Military functions when she a Keith would attend.
Much love and heartfelt condolences on the sad loss of your dear Mom, to you and your family Beccy.
Beccy – so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a lovely lady and I enjoyed the chats I had with her.
Our deepest sympathies to family. Always enjoyed a conversation with Moira full of joy and caring. At our condo complex, her humour and wit lightened our conversations at Board meetings and in the parking lot, for many years. Then meeting on the street in Wortley Village was often the highlight of our walks. For all, forever missed. Blessing.
Saddened to hear of Moira’s passing, both Keith and Moira were fixtures at Prevost for decades, cherish the memories.
Moira was my neighbour for 28 years and together with Keith we had so many fun times! At the mess, the mocha, restaurants, in our backyards, wherever we were, we really enjoyed each other’s company.
Moira was a good friend – we connected through theatre, walking, lunches and a little sherry every now and again.
I know Moira loved family dinners where there was always lots of laughter and I hope this brings comfort to you, Beccy, Josh, Diana and Taylor.
Sincerest sympathy, Barbara
Not many people knew that it was because of Moira that Michael and I moved to 30 Grand. We had come to visit a friend who lived in the back row and were early and were just walking around the complex. Your mom, bless her heart, asked if she could help us and we explained we were considering moving into the complex. She invited us in for a tour of their place and said how nice everyone was who lived there. I think she even offered us coffee! So when the opportunity presented itself we took it and bought our own place and became your parents’ neighbour. That was about 20 years ago.
We were glad your mom and dad stayed in the neighbourhood after they left 30 Grand. We always enjoyed bumping into Moira as she was out running her errands or waiting for the bus. She always looked so smart and was happy to stop and chat to catch up for a few minutes.
She was a lovely woman who will be missed by many. Our condolences to you all.
